Ken Marlon Charles, better known as KMC, is an artist hailing from the Caribbean islands of Trinidad & Tobago.

As a child Ken was influenced by the culture of the islands, a rich culture that is well known for the steelpan, calypso and soca music.

Ken started writing music at the early age of thirteen and soon discovered he had a talent for melody. From dancehall to soca, Ken rose to fame in Trinidad with the soca song Bashment to Carnival in 1998. In 2005 he had international success with the album entitled Soul on Fire, which single featuring Fatman Scoop entered at 67 on the U.S Billboard single chart.

As an artist KMC is best known for his high-energy stage shows. Large or small crowd, Ken can step to any audience and make a crowd go wild.

In early 2010 Ken traveled to Stockholm, Sweden to give a performance and asked the promoter to find him some Swedish producers to work with. This resulted in a studio session with Swedish natives Jamtech and gave birth to the song Everybody Jump.

Everybody Jump was written and recorded in two hours and performed that same night at his show and received a massive crowd reaction. The crowd wasn't expecting anything like it and the feedback was so good that Ken decided to go back in the studio with Jamtech to do more work. The Jamtech trio presented Everybody Jump to their friend, super producer RedOne. He was amazed by Ken’s energetic vocals over the Electro beat and decided right away that he wanted to sign him to his new label, 2101 Records, a joint venture with Universal Music Group.

As a result Ken has spent the last two years in studios across Europe and The U.S shaping his new sound for his upcoming album.
